Copyright Info
To cut the chase – all photographs, text and content on this website are/is copyrighted. My photos are available for commercial use, but contact me first for pricing and other information. What does this specifically mean?
- It would be very unethical and mean of you to hotlink, or copy, or reproduce content (small or large) from this website anywhere else by any means without my prior written permission. If you want to contact me to use some of my photographs, video or text commercially, please drop me a mail: pratap [at] pixelshooter [dot] net.
- On a case by case basis, I am cool about licensing my work for non-profit and non-commercial purposes. But please ask me first. I may also use content from this site on other forums, websites or Wikis, but the copyright still belongs to me.
- Technology today makes it very easy to reproduce digital content. There is no foolproof method for anyone to keep track of their digital asset once it is on public domain. That does not give you the right to take advantage of technology to do something behind my back (like steal stuff from here).
- If found, I will take whatever steps necessary to protect my intellectual property. This may include, and is not limited to pursuing legal action. It really doesn’t hurt to ask me before violating my rights.
I say this well knowing that nothing really is mine. On an idea-level, I know I have heavily borrowed compositions, styles and designs from many people. I have not re-invented the wheel. However, copyright of photographs taken, and text written, belong to me. This does not include pictures taken by friends and family using my gear. There are such photographs on this site. I do not claim to be the owner of such content.
That’s it. Short and sweet. Just don’t be evil.
