Pearl Valley
A very unlikely destination, Pearl Valley is just 40 kms from Bangalore. Booze is generally not served in many of the tourist destinations in India, but it is available at the sole restaurant in Pearl Valley. And the availability of booze was quite obvious when a bunch of friends and I biked down there. The place was full of loud fools, who were behaving worse than the monkeys that were also in abundance.
There are two ways to get to Pearl Valley from Bangalore. We took the Bannerghatta - Jigini route while going, and came back on the Anekal - Electronics City route. Roads were good on both routes. There isn’t much to do at the valley, except for a little uphill hiking, and along the river (which was drying). The waterfall was a trickle and terribly unexciting.
